Fresh Start For Web Hosting Company

Kathryn Taylor, former operations director of Mere Mortals, has launched Taylored Hosting, which will be based at Gateshead International Business Centre.

This new company will provide a vehicle for the seamless transfer of her former employer’s 100+ web hosting clients together with the other web based projects on which she was working, which include servicing the specialist web support and design needs of St Oswald’s Hospice, Seven Stories and Walker Books.

A new venture, due to launch in the coming months will also see Ms Taylor using her contacts and experience to deliver the very best creative and technical content across web and mobile to offer a more streamlined and focused media service for her clients.

Her aim is to ensure a dedicated and uninterrupted interactive support service catering for both project work and the development of interactive products.

She forms Taylored Hosting after seven highly successful years, first as owner and technical director of SB Squared, the company which she established and which was later acquired as part of the Mere Mortals group, and where she then went on to spend two years as operations director.

Kathryn is keen to reassure her clients that it will be business as usual and she is excited about her future and the potential to exploit the development of the digital marketplace.
She said:

“The digital world is changing constantly and I am ideally positioned to deliver a high standard of service to clients whilst allowing significant investment in some spectacular projects which are currently at R&D stage.

“I have already talked to clients about my new venture and they have been very encouraging.  The transfer of business to my new company will have zero impact on service levels.

“I am hoping to continue working with some of my former colleagues – Mick Stockton, Kris Kennedy and other members of what was a highly creative and talented team – to get some new projects underway together as well as further developing some of the ideas we were working on.”

David Jeffries, founder of Mere Mortals, said: “Kathryn has played a key role in the development of the interactive division of our company since inception and is a dedicated and inspirational character.

“I support and advocate her decision to focus on core skills in her new venture and look forward to working together again at some stage in the future.”

Mere Mortals, based at Hoults Yard, was established in 1999 is highly regarded for its award-winning work across TV and motion graphics.
