Post your Events CBI Comment on East Coast Franchise
Commenting on today’s announcement about the East Coast Mainline franchise Sarah Green, CBI North East Regional Director said:
“The smooth running of the East Coast Mainline is of critical importance to the North East business community. In these turbulent times we would call on the government to ensure that there is no loss of service provision on this important route and that a long term solution for the franchise is found quickly to minimise the exposure of the taxpayer and to avoid market distortion. For transport infrastructure like this it’s critical to remove politics from the discussions to find a sustainable, long term solution to the connectivity needs of all regions along this route.”
